Festival F – dia 2

On the 2nd and 3rd of September, Vila Adentro, in Faro, hosted the F Festival. The third edition of the last great summer festival that featured performances by Ana Moura, Pedro Abrunhosa, GNR, Richie Campbell, Criolo, Gisela João, Jimmy P, Mundo Segundo & Sam the Kid, among many others. In addition to the concerts, there were also activities related to plastic arts, street food, literature, cinema and handicrafts, as well as gatherings. Festival F has a close connection with the place where it takes place, Vila Adentro, Faro’s historic area, a unique setting for countless cultural events. The quality of this event was recognized by the Europe Festivals Association, which distinguished it with the seal EFFE – Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe, and was also awarded the seal Consumer’s Choice ’16 in the Non-Urban Music Festivals category. Two great novelties marked the 2016 edition. At the Palco das Muralhas, which received the most popular concerts in the 2015 edition, the new Sé Stage was added. The second large stage left D. Afonso III square, which has now become the ideal place to enjoy the varied offer of street food. In addition to the stages, which also included the already known Museum, Castle and Quintalão, Festival F presented yet another novelty with a program of gatherings on the current world, music and literature. This year I was the official photographer for Festival F and here is a very short summary of the second day.
